The Hall of Fame celebrates Championship FIRST Impact Award Winners.
Winners are role model teams in their communities and have oftentimes participated in or started impactful outreach projects. This includes mentoring or starting FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Tech Challenge, and/or FIRST Robotics Competition teams. These projects allow for opportunities for more students to become involved FIRST and are incredibly important in continuing FIRST‘s legacy.
Team submitted a video and essay describing how they’ve spread FIRST‘s message throughout their community. In these submissions, aforementioned outreach projects are described in detail, and teams expand upon how these projects have directly affected both the team and their community.
For a list of past winners, including their award submissions, please see the FIRST website.
The FIRST Impact Award
The FIRST Impact Award (formerly known as the Chairman’s Award) is the most prestigious award at FIRST®, it honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the mission of FIRST®. It was created to keep the central focus of FIRST® Robotics Competition on the ultimate goal of transforming the culture in ways that will inspire greater levels of respect and honor for science and technology, as well as encouraging more of today’s youth to become science and technology leaders.
